Hi Tashia, Wow, see, plant it and they will come! What a wonderful finding in your garden. It's Anise Swallowtail caterpillars that you would find eating Dill, Fennel or Parsley. We would love to see your photographs!

I am a new gardener and mistakenly planted dill in my first garden. One day I went out to find 16 caterpillars devouring this single plant. I grew more attached to them and allowed them to eat away at the dill documenting them with photographs along the way. I had 3 wonderful mornings watching these beautiful butterflies emerge and was even able to get a video of one emerging. I believe they were Western Tiger Swallowtails. IF you e-mail me I will send you a link to see some images of them.
